Chandler Lyre Clock

Very Rare Time and Strike Lyre Clock, Concord, New Hampshire

Made by Abiel Chandler (1807-1881)

Examples of New Hampshire Lyre Clocks are rare to say the least and Abiel Chandler is the only known maker in New Hampshire to have included an hourly striking mechanism. While the lower glass has been professionally restored, the balance of the clock remains in an excellent and original state of preservation.

Eight day movement in excellent running condition.

Height 40" including finial.
