Tall Clock, circa 1790
Benjamin Clark Gilman, Exeter, New Hampshire

Overall in fine condition with an eight day movement with hourly strike.

The original red painted surface, which had been partially removed, has been restored.

Height: 88"

In addition to being a clockmaker and silversmith, Gilman installed the first aqueduct system in Exeter in 1797 using logs with a five inch bore.
Recently, while installing new water mains in town, remnants of this type of pipe were found still intact.
